research which influenced the CD holder

Above are the two main CD cases that influenced us whilst
making the CD holder, we used the same image which we did when making the
CD because it strengthens the design
element by making the image stand out even more and look more important because
the image will still be present even when the CD isn’t, examples of this can be seen in the above two images. We felt it would be
best to make our CD holder in this way because it was important to get across
the tone of the digipak was created by the ominous message of the music video
making appea twice, gets this message across.
The template
This template began as a PDF file of a digipak which was
given to us by my media teacher to help us with the design of our digipak. For our CD holder it was recreated using Photoshop so that it could go over our CD holder image in order to give the digipak a more realistic looking design.
To re-create the PDF file we used paint. The photo was added
then we drew out the outline to create our own version so that we could then
remove the white background in paint. This meant that it became a framework
background which still meant that we could see the design behind the outline of
the CD holder. In a physical CD the outline would be the area where the CD
would actually be placed.
